Accessibility Statement

    Last updated: July 2026

Eat Grow Live is committed to making our website welcoming and usable for every woman who visits — including those navigating vision changes, brain fog, fatigue, and other shifts that so often come with perimenopause and menopause.

    Our commitment

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level. That includes readable type sizes, strong color contrast, keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, descriptive alt text, and clearly labeled forms.

    What we've done

    • Increased base body text to improve readability for tired or aging eyes.
    • Darkened link, button, and CTA colors so text passes WCAG AA contrast on our background.
    • Added a visible keyboard focus indicator across every interactive element.
    • Added a "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
    • Labeled forms with visible labels — placeholders are hints, not the only cue.
    • Added descriptive alt text and accessible names to images, social links, and icon buttons.
    • Respect the operating-system Reduced Motion setting for animations.
    • Ensured tap targets meet a 44×44 pixel minimum on mobile.

    Where we're still improving

Accessibility is ongoing work. Third-party embeds (scheduling, newsletter, analytics) are not fully under our control, and older blog posts may still contain images without ideal alt text. We audit regularly and welcome feedback.
